Guidance News and Information

Willis Brown Jr. Memorial Scholarship available for Seniors with 2.6 GPA or above, who plan to attend accredited College, University or Technical School.  Must have Leadership and/or Community Service experience.  Deadline is August 31, 2015.  See Guidance for applications.


Now available..."Aspiring Fashion Professional Scholarship".  This is a $1000 scholarship that will be awarded to students that are interested in pursuing a fashion degree at an accredited post-secondary school or college.  Interested students can visit this link http://www.fashion-schools.org/ and find the scholarship located at the bottom of the page.

Also available, "Aspiring Animation Professional Scholarship".  Interested students can visit http://www.animationcareerreview.com/ to find eligibility information along with the online application.

Deadline for both scholarships listed above is June 1, 2015.

Georgia Milestones Student Survey for Online Test Takers

Students, please to take a moment and complete the online survey for the Georgia Milestones Online Assessments. Your input is so important!  For students taking the End of Grade Assessments, click here.  For students taking the End of Course Assessments, click here.  Thank you for your time and comments.  


Dual Enrollment/Dual Credit courses provide opportunities for Georgia high school students to take college-level courses and earn concurrent credit toward a high school diploma and a college degree.

Testing Tips - GaDOE

FreeOnline ExPreSS (Exam Preparation for Science and Social Studies) will be offered by the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) online to all high school students  and certificate of attendance recipients who were unsuccessful on or who have not yet taken the Science and/or Social Studies Georgia High School Graduation Test.
